SUBJECT: PTO Updates January 2026

In November We Raised $10,000

The PHMS PTO thanks our community for their generosity. What does hitting our goal mean? It means that we won't have to ask for more monetary contributions for the remainder of the year. We have funds for teacher appreciation, driver appreciation, the moving up ceremony, an assembly, and more! We were also able to purchase requested gifts for 14 departments and supplies and programing for our students.

Our goal is to only ask once a year only for monetary contributions.

We will continue to ask for volunteers and possibly treats for events, but we hope that this streamlines thing and makes planning your contribution easier.

Amazing Hero Art Assembly March 12th

Rob Surette will be coming to our schools to do an inspirational assembly.  He will inspire our students to be kind and be all that they can be!

Why does the PTO Focus on Social/Emotional Wellness and Awareness?

Emotions shape behavior and learning.

Children who learn to associate school with a feeling of safety become confident enough to move out of their comfort zone.  They feel safe expressing their ideas, working together, asking questions and trying new things--even if it means making mistakes."

From "The MindUp Curriculum Grades Pre-K-2", p. 61.
